The wine list - extensive and impressive  - but not unwieldy – around 40 bins strong - is carefully selected by us in conjunction mainly with Corney and Barrow fine wines (formerly Whighams) – it would be unsurprising if not – as their main Ayrshire collection is housed virtually next door to the restaurant – with amazing cellars there too. .Impressive explanatory notes are conversational in tone. In a world of wine snobs it's refreshing to find an enthusiastic list that is informative without being patronising. Wines of all shades start at around £15.

Enjoy an extensive cellar of interesting fine wines from around the world, with a (rather unusual these days) ‘slight’ emphasis on French wines - and half a dozen lovely house wines are always available by the glass.

Malt whiskies here come virtually ‘as standard’ as you would expect -  and a ‘more than a dash’ good collection there is too.
